I am highly passionate about what I do and have a combined work experience of 18 years in the digital industry, 7 of which are in UX & UI Design. I have worked for a large number of brands & businesses, most recently for Barclays UK in Digital Banking and currently I’m working as the UX Design Lead at TalkTalk.
User Experience focuses on having a deep understanding of users, what they need, what they value, their abilities, and also their limitations. It also takes into account the business goals and objectives of the group managing the project. UX best practices promote improving the quality of the user’s interaction with and perceptions of your product and any related services.
A User Interface is a conduit between human and computer interaction – the space where a user will interact with a computer or machine to complete tasks. The purpose of a UI is to enable a user to effectively control a computer, a machine, an application or website they are interacting with, and for feedback to be received in order to communicate effective completion of tasks. Successful user interface design must be intuitive (not require training to operate), efficient (not create additional or unnecessary friction) and user-friendly (be enjoyable to use).
